ENSI (Ecole des Nouvelles Images)
The École supérieure des métiers du cinéma d’animation et du jeu vidéo is an associative structure supported by an experienced team, recognised professionals, committed parents of students and student representatives to offer a framework of confidence and fulfilment to students. Its model is entirely based on pedagogical excellence and the preparation of students for successful professional integration. It offers training courses of 3 to 5 years for the main courses and 1 year for artistic preparation:

Game Academy
An essential reference in the field of video games education.
In 2023, the school was recognised as the third best video game development school in France and the twentieth worldwide according to The Rookies. Its pedagogical method is distinguished by personalised support, facilitated by small classes. The focus is on intensive practice through concrete projects, thus offering students the opportunity to perfect the essential skills to excel as graphic designers or video game developers. Five years of training to become an expert (Games Developer and Games Artist) and shorter training courses that vary from five days to one year for introductions or improvement courses.
Avignon University

Institut des Métiers de la Communication Audiovisuelle (IMCA) [Institute for Audiovisual Communication Professions]
The Institut des Métiers de la Communication Audiovisuelle (IMCA) is one of the few organisations in France to promote and support access to the audiovisual professions without a degree requirement, favouring the motivation and professional project of candidates. Since 1984 and with the support of the Region SUD, the IMCA has continued its commitment to people wishing to learn the audiovisual and screenwriting professions, or to improve their skills. Its versatile and generalist training in the audiovisual field offers an essential basis for keeping up with technological developments in this constantly changing sector. Three types of courses (from three days to nine months) in the following areas: Technical, production and scenario.
Institut Supérieur des Techniques du Spectacle (ISTS) [Higher Institute of Performing Techniques]
Founded in 1986 on the initiative of the Festival d’Avignon, the Institut Supérieur des Techniques du Spectacle (ISTS) is a centre for initial and continuing training in performing arts techniques (Avignon and Marseille). The ISTS offers learning sections, certifying training and development sessions. To ensure optimal adaptation of its programs to the needs of the industry, educational managers collaborate with active practitioners, renowned for their expertise and commitment to transmit their knowledge with the highest level of requirement, strictly respecting the standards of the art and artistic aspirations inherent in their professions. The centre in Avignon trains 500 people each year.

L’Institut International Image & Son [The International Image & Son Institute] is a network of higher education institutions which educates in the professions of the cultural and creative industries (sound, performing arts, video games, animation cinema, special effects, acting). Campuses in Bordeaux, Lyon, Nantes and now in Avignon have committed themselves to professional integration. The priority is to help students realise their potential, by developing technical expertise and a decided artistic sense. The future Avignon campus of 6,000 m² totalling an investment of €15 million, with the first course, in Cinema & Audiovisual, supplemented by an Acting sector, will have many facilities for teaching and the comfort of learners:

Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD)
Savannah College of Art and Design (or SCAD) is an American private non-profit art university offering 100 undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate programmes in Atlanta and Savannah, Georgia (USA) and Lacoste, France. The university has more than 150,000 students from 120 countries. According to the “Art & Object” ranking in 2021, SCAD is the best art school in the United States with several more first places in interior design, architecture, cinema, fashion, digital media. SCAD Lacoste offers an immersion in the history and culture of Provence. The 19th century site offers a library, a gallery, studios dedicated to painting, drawing, sculpture, printing, photography and digital imaging.
École supérieure d’art d’Avignon (ESAA)
The École supérieure d’art d’Avignon (ESAA) is affiliated with public art and design schools under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture. It benefits from financial and administrative support from the City of Avignon and the State, through the DRAC. As a higher education institution, ESAA issues national diplomas: the National Diploma of Art (DNA) and the Higher National Diploma of Plastic Expression (DNSEP), which correspond respectively to university qualifications of Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. The school maintains partnerships with various institutions, both locally and nationally and internationally. ESAA offers two main qualifications: Conservation-Restoration of Cultural Property and Creation.
FINK
FINK is a Qualiopi-certified [State recognised] training centre in Paris and Avignon, specialising in writing, shooting and editing, calibration, special effects and new workflows. Customised training is carried out by professionals who are experts in their fields. Several courses are on offer, from introduction to development with the objective of anticipating the evolution of professions and their technological advances.
A new course has been added to the catalogue, “The Art of the Webtoon” in partnership with the Myrà studio and Sébastien Célimon, the organiser of the Rencontres internationales du Webtoon.
Jaques Lecoq School
The Jacques Lecoq International Theatre School was founded in 1956 by Jacques Lecoq to train professionals in its singular pedagogy. Based on movement, Jacques Lecoq pedagogy offers learning on body work at the service of acting. The School’s objective is the realisation of a young creative theatre, carrying languages where the actor’s physical acting is central. The act of creation is aroused permanently, mainly through improvisation, the first step of all writing. With its reputation abroad, the School welcomes every year about a hundred students of different nationalities, backgrounds and ages: actor, dancer, juggler, opera singer, clown, etc. Moving to Avignon became obvious to the new director Anne Astolfe, whose objective is to create a new dynamic by forging links with the Avignon area and developing European projects. Beyond the two-year professional training, the school offers internships and an introductory course in pedagogy open to everyone twice a week.

LYCÉE MISTRAL: Higher Education Literary Studies cinema option. The Film Studies specialty aims to instruct students in the analysis of cinematographic works, the theoretical deepening of cinematographic art, as well as in the understanding of the economic, industrial and legal dimensions of cinema.
ACTEON: Theatre school in Avignon, offers training in the actor’s profession in 4 years punctuated by internships and a professional graduation project. The training is based on an original method: “imagination by action”.
LE JEU DE L’ACTEUR: Interpretation courses, in Avignon, for theatre as well as for the image through a two-year Professional Training and Leisure Courses. Their approach combines the fundamentals of theatre with image techniques, including working in front of the camera, casting sessions, photo shoots and shootings.
LA LOGE: La Loge is a training centre and a film make-up school. Customised training can be supported up to 100%.
