Vaucluse is an ideal location for sporty and adventurous tourists as well as families in search of a stay amongst nature, thanks to its internationally renowned spots, a climate conducive to ‘4 season’ activities, the diversity of its attractions and its unspoilt massifs. Vaucluse is a playground for all types of outdoor activities, including cycling, mountain and gravel biking, BMX, hiking, equestrian tourism, as well as a haven for climbers with both outdoor (the cliffs of Buoux) and indoor (le Pan d’Avignon and Clip n’Climb) climbing terrain.  It is also a great spot for canoers and kayakers as well as fishing tourism, with both the Rhône and the Sorgues on its doorstep. Ten landscaped lakes, two leisure parks (Wave Island and Park Spirou), 3 golf courses and caving sites make Vaucluse an excellent destination when it comes to having fun in the outdoors. These many attractions contribute to the growing popularity of a high-performance ecosystem of companies dedicated to sport, equipment and soft mobility created by local talent (former champions, engineers, precision mechanics). Vaucluse is a fertile breeding ground for innovation and investment in sport and leisure.

Dynamo Cycle

Creation, opening in 2018 by two Lyon investors of a new concept store dedicated 100% to two-wheelers with electric assistance. From rollerblades to scooters, the store offers the sale and long-term rental of a wide range of brands, whose core activity is based on electric bikes and mountain bikes. Positioned in the booming local market, Dynamo Cycles caters to urban cyclists, mountain bikers and BtoB, and to local businesses and shops, via bicycle-utility vehicles (cargo bikes).

Clip n’Climb Grand Avignon à Vedène

Opening in February 2020 of the 1st French leisure climbing room Clip n’Climb in Vedène, in a building designed and built specially. Project developed by a couple of Saint-Etienne investors, who created an ad hoc company under license agreement with the New Zealand brand. The new company and their activity generated the creation of 5 local jobs for more than 350K euros of investment.

Parc Spirou – lac de Monteux

Creation of the 1st world leisure park based around the characters of the Belgian editions of Dupuis on 4ha. With the inauguration of the park in 2018, the project represents an investment of 40 million euros, spread over four years. Now, more than twenty attractions are on offer, all using innovative interactive technologies. Open from April to All Saints’ Day, the park welcomed more than 270,000 visitors in 2019, with the creation of more than 320 local jobs.

Mobyland – Apt

Spécialisée dans la conception et la diffusion de jeux gonflables, Mobyland complète les offres de loisirs familles au plan d’eau de la Riaille à Apt en exploitant une Mobybase depuis l’été 2020. Première étape pour cette jeune entreprise en phase de développment qui devrait relocaliser son siège, bureaux et usine de production dans le Vaucluse pour 13 emplois créés et un investissement initial de 500K€.
